Carbitrage
This Ospina case study documents how Carlos Rico-Ospina approached a specific risk, infrastructure, revenue, or research problem and what was built to address it.
Weekend prototype for car flipping arbitrage—aggregates dealer offers and computes deal viability in real-time.

The Problem
Car flipping is math + logistics + speed. Most people lose edge because calculations and dealer offers are fragmented across dozens of tabs and manual spreadsheets.
The Insight
Structure the workflow as a pipeline—offers → spread calculation → decision output—and you turn manual browsing into a repeatable, faster loop.
What I Built
- Scrapes and aggregates dealer buy offers and relevant listings
- Computes profitability after fees and transaction costs
- Produces clear go/no-go output with execution path
Outcomes
- Compresses research time from hours to minutes
- Reduces errors in core arbitrage math
- Demonstrates fast productization: identify workflow → build automation → deliver action-oriented output
